Inspection Process:

Houseboats (FOWR’s)  must be inspected by a Marine Surveyor, who will also do the Valuation for the lender and insurance. Both the lender and insurance will receive the entire report, unlike a residential inspection and can opt not to finance or insure based on any critical item in the report.

All FOWR’s (Floating On-Water Residences) will close on the King County Personal Property Tax roll as a floating home and taxes will be assessed in the next cycle or as time allows for the KC assessor to view and value the FOWR.
